Mazda is one of the more popular brands of family cars in the Philippines. It’s truly a gas-saver. In looking for cars online, I am a bit confused as to what type and model of vehicle I will buy. The schedule for purchase is on December but my budget is limited and Mazda Familia, I think, is a great candidate for my search for our first family car.

Children are often given the highest level of priority in most (if not all) Filipino families. As such, when my eldest grandchild (Chester) had a birthday party in August 25, all of my 8 grandchildren attended the affair. I was able to take some shots but I was foolish not to check the rechargeable batteries of my digital camera. They were about to be drained when the party started and I was so disappointed upon knowing that I will not be able to take all the shots of my grandkids having fun. Read the rest of this entry »

In the Philippines, second hand cars (or used cars) are hot in the market. The best-selling cars here are Toyota models. From model years 1988 to 2005, these cars still sell well even if they have been been owned by 4 or 5 individuals already. Model years 1988-1998 are usually the ones on the streets. The environment is different, the language is different (slang English) and the culture as a whole is different.

My grandson’s birthday will be on the 25th of August and as early as now, I am posting this to let everyone know that I will not blog the whole day on that day. Family matters. It’s true I make money online but I do not want to miss my grandson’s 7th birthday. He’s already in Grade One and I haven’t spent much time with him.

Thinking of My Dream Bed

Author: jps61974

My family and I have always had good beds. Some of these beds are cheap - made of wood, rattan or bamboo. Well, you might think it’s not comfortable to sleep on a bamboo bed but you are wrong. It’s so comfortable you will be able to sleep well (except perhaps with the presence of mosquitoes if you sleep outside your home, lol!)

If you are a working man and your work takes too much of your time, it’s likely that you’ll want to take a break (even once a year) with your family to bond with them and get some fresh air. Sometimes work can be so stressful and taking a breather from work is a good way to reduce stress and create a new atmosphere for the whole family. Read the rest of this entry »

I have been observing my 6 Filipino grandchildren and even their parents since they were toddlers and learning how to speak. In my observation, children really learn different languages (dialects and foreign) faster and better than adults. I even recall an episode of the national Geographic Channel where it dealt with how the brain works and develops when human beings are still very young. According to NatGeo, babies/toddlers recognize sound patterns more receptively than adults, hence better in learning languages.
