If you have school children, then you probably know how important nutrition is for them to cope up with the physical and mental rigors of schooling. The photo on the left reminded me (when I first saw it) of a common scenario in Baguio and Benguet province in the Philippines. It’s part of their culture. Mothers in those places carry their babies wherever they go even in the farms. Other places like in Indonesia and Malaysia practice this. Pinoys really love used cars because first, it brings out the creativity in them. With used cars, Filipinos are able to modify whatever part of the car – the windshields, mirrors, tires, rims, mags, paint, car seats, air conditioning units, etc.

In 2006, when my family and I went to the United States, we had this terribly funny experiences all throughout our trip. Since it was our first time to be in the land of milk and honey, we really were not sure what we were doing for the first couple of days. The environment is different, the language is different (slang English) and the culture as a whole is different.

My grandson’s birthday will be on the 25th of August and as early as now, I am posting this to let everyone know that I will not blog the whole day on that day. Family matters. It’s true I make money online but I do not want to miss my grandson’s 7th birthday. He’s already in Grade One and I haven’t spent much time with him.
