You car in an investment. This is a fact whether you use your car for business or personal use. However, since crooks, like carnappers, have also adapted modern ways to steal cars and other motor vehicles, then it is a must that you use a Global Positioning System (GPS) tracking device (or devices) to protect your car especially if it is a luxury car.

If you are applying for an Information Technology-related job, then the best way to impress the HRD is to include the training that you have attended.  IT-related jobs are becoming more and more demanding these days espcially in big companies.  How can you possibly compete with hundreds or even thousands of other IT professionals if you do not have adequate training?

In the area of networking, Cisco trainings and certifications are probably the best in the world.  Cisco offers the following training in line with networking: routing and switching, design, security, service provider, storage networking, voice and wireless. A Cisco certification could be your doorway to a better llife.

In one of my jobs (prior to being a blogger), I trained government employees in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and Microsoft Powerpoint.  These were the things they needed in their line of work in government agencies in Ilocos Norte.  I received my training largely at home.  I’m self-taught. I did some experiments on many things related to IT especially in networking by implementing the experiments in my 3 computer shops before.  I also learned some techniques from my colleagues who were in the computer business and the things that I’ve learned from them served as supplemental training.  Those things proved beneficial because even up to this time they’re serving me well.  Whenever my computers experience some problems, I troubleshoot them myself.  If my friends’ computer networks are not working well, I troubleshoot them.

All these things (my formal and informal trainings) are what make me a valuable human resource.  you too can be a valuable human resource if you only think about what a training can do for you in the long run.

I’ve been on a blog holiday for so long because of my problems with my WordPress databases (this blog excluded). One very important lesson I’ve learned from all the things I’ve gone through the past week is to backup WordPress blogs (databases in particular) to handle future errors.

When I say errors, this could be a variety of so many things that you’ll pray you’ll never have like fatal or parsing errors in your database where your site/s cannot be accessed by anyone including you, the owner.

Identify theft is very rampant nowadays with the advent of new technologies. These new technologies are used by unscrupulous individuals for self-serving purposes and innocent people are not happy being involved in cases of theft or spamming. Being a victim is not a comfortable position, you know.  Who wants to be victimized, anyway?

If your computer needs protection from viruses by way of antivirus softwares, Visit Shop Shield® to know more about how you can protect your identity when you transact online especially when you need to reveal your credit card number. Think about this, how secure is the site you are trying to access? Can it give you full protection from scam artists?

Find out from the experts in online protection how you can conceal your credit card numbers, bank accounts, billing address, email address and login information whenever you go online and deal with people you don’t know and do not see. Online transactions are risky. Learn More by consulting professionals who will be there to guide you to protect your identity online so you can protect your finances and other valuable data.

Filipino Bloggers using Wordpress as a publishing tool should check out the latest details on WordCamp Philippines.  According to Weblog Tools Collection website, the event was moved from October 25, 2008 to September 6, 2008.  In my view, this is indeed a great event for Filipino bloggers using Wordpress because it aims to educate us more about WordPress and blogging.

Filipinos are fond of buying cellphones. In fact, one study indicated that an average family in the Philippines has 3-4 cell phones per household. Wow! For some members of affluent families, each member even possesses 2-3 cell phones. Now tell me, is the Philippines the texting capital of the world or what?

Lately, my internet connection has been failing me and my expectations. I have subscribed to Digitel DSL 512 kbps plan from Smartbro 384 kbps plan.  However, it became obvious for the last 3 weeks that Digitel DSL was not actually an upgrade but a downgrade.
