In the Philippines, second hand cars (or used cars) are hot in the market. The best-selling cars here are Toyota models. From model years 1988 to 2005, these cars still sell well even if they have been been owned by 4 or 5 individuals already. Model years 1988-1998 are usually the ones on the streets. Pinoys really love used cars because first, it brings out the creativity in them. With used cars, Filipinos are able to modify whatever part of the car – the windshields, mirrors, tires, rims, mags, paint, car seats, air conditioning units, etc.
For now I have two options, to buy a new unit or a second hand unit. The more practical choice for me right now is to buy a used car. My personal choice is a Toyota Corolla GLXi model 1998 or later. My friend was offering me his unit (model 1998) for PhP 220K. I didn’t go for it because other sellers (who are not even my friends) can give the same unit for Php 150-160K only. My primary objective in buying a car is for family use. My old owner-type jeep will remain my delivery vehicle (business use).
However, if I could generate enough money until December 2008, I would get myself a Toyota VIOS (see photos below)
If you intend to buy a new Toyota car and live near Leesburg, VA, check out New Toyota Leesburg VA because they offer a wide array of new Toyota models like Camry, Corolla, Tundra, Prius RAV4 and Scion. Toyota has expanded its network in the United States and it is in Leesburg where you can find the best Toyota deals.
