Matched.co.uk Finally Closed

Author: jps61974

Like what I had in mind, the blog advertising network Matched.co.uk finally closed. I had this weird feeling that Matched will not materialize in the long run. This is because there are very few advertisers in the network and its offers to publishers are not very appealing (at least in my view). Add to that the fact that I did not make any money with the network. lol!

Sponsoredreviews.com (SR) is a blog advertising network where I am a member of (among many other networks, lol!). Just a while ago, I logged on to my dashboard after more than a week. I was a bit disoriented because SR has adapted a new bidding system once more. This time, there is no minimum bid. You can only see the maximum bid for each opp and this gives advertisers a slight advantage because most bloggers will be forced to place lower bids in their hopes to get some review opportunities.

Second Direct Offer from PPP

Author: jps61974

Today, I received my second direct offer from PPP. I received it via Yahoo Email Alert. The first PPP direct offer came exactly one month ago. The requirements of the offer are not difficult to follow. Minimum of 100 words, one link, neutral tone = 9 bucks is not a bad deal for a low-profile blogger like myself.

Yesterday, I even texted a friend to check out my website just to see if they were being redirected to another URL because I was experiencing this when I open my sites using my computer. I knew this was a javascript error but I couldn’t pinpoint at first what ad script was messing with my sites. Since I removed Chitika codes in my sites (only Google adsense and Widgetbucks codes remain), my intuition dictated that Widgetbucks codes or some embedded scripts within posts (for Socialspark) were responsible for this redirection. By the way, my sites were redirected to two other sites in an endless loop (www.vivo7.com and www.partners.dmoglobal.com).

First PPP Direct Offer Ever

Author: jps61974

Yesterday, I received an offer in my PPP direct offer in my dashboard. The PPP direct is very similar to the regular PPP review job except that you, the blogger, doesn’t have to run after opps or wait for its availability. Many posties know this already but in my almost-a-year membership of PPP, this is the first time I’ve received an offer via PPP direct. Other friends in my small blog network have received at least one offer during their first six months of doing internet marketing with PPP. As of this writing, some of them have already received 5-6 offers.

I have removed Chitika codes in my 6 sites two weeks ago. If you have been visiting this site and reading some articles, you’ll know that I only serve Google Adsense ads and Widgetbucks. Also, I’ve long given up on Smorty to make money online. :-(

Blog advertising makes money but sometimes, money earned is also dependent on the payouts of networks you are a member of.

A few minutes ago, I checked my mailbox and there were emails coming from the Bloggerwave website stating that I’ve paid for 10 jobs I did for the company ($100 worth in total). It’s been long overdue. I did the 10 jobs on the second week of May and they have paid me on an installment basis. First, they paid $30 last month then they paid $60 today for a total of $90. They are still $10 short of their full payment but according to my dashboard (from within Bloggerwave), the company is already fully paid. WTF!

After blogging for almost a year and having been involved in the blog advertising business for 3 months (yes, I have been active in blog advertising for 3 months only), there are some things I have realized in paid blogging.

First, making money online is not easy. Many new bloggers expect that making money online is easy because of the success stories of their new-found affiliations with other bloggers who allegedly have made serious cash in blogging for a couple of months. While some are true, most of the stories out there are nothing but publicity stunts or plain and simple crap.

One of the blog advertising networks I am a member of is Sponsoredreviews.com. For more than a week now, they have implemented a new bidding form which I find very convenient to use. You can now place bids on an opp you like without going back and forth the different subpages of the dashboard because all your blogs registered with them can now be seen in one location.

In learning how to make money online, I have entered the world of blog advertising. For friends and regular readers, this is no secret. One of my favorite advertising networks was Smorty. I said was because at present it’s not doing me any favor. Blog monetization with this network is nil for the longest time.
