For an online publisher like myself, making money online is easier when your site has a good Page Rank. However, after gaining some maturity in blogging, I no longer consider Page rank as the best bargaining chip in making money online. In many cases, even sites with PR 0 make more money than sites with PR2 or PR3 or PR4 even if they compete in the blog advertising arena. Other factors are involved in making money online by way of reviewing products/services like site traffic and your good standing/rating in blog advertising networks.

After blogging for almost a year and having been involved in the blog advertising business for 3 months (yes, I have been active in blog advertising for 3 months only), there are some things I have realized in paid blogging.
First, making money online is not easy. Many new bloggers expect that making money online is easy because of the success stories of their new-found affiliations with other bloggers who allegedly have made serious cash in blogging for a couple of months. While some are true, most of the stories out there are nothing but publicity stunts or plain and simple crap.

I have been developing websites for 6 years and posting articles on blogs for less than a year now. One critical factor in a site’s success is the reliability of the servers of its web host. My sites were deranked for keywords I have ranked high for many months because of a server error. One time my serer was down for a few minutes but those few minutes were the same moments in time when the Google and Yahoo bots came to crawl my sites.

Lately, Entrecard’s servers go down more frequently than in the past. Is this because there are already thousands of new sites added to Entrecard’s database and thousands of bloggers sign in to Entrecard every minute?
This problem is annoying and has infuriated many bloggers whose advertisements (especially on expensive sites) cannot be reached by visitors to that site.

In learning how to make money online, I have entered the world of blog advertising. For friends and regular readers, this is no secret. One of my favorite advertising networks was Smorty. I said was because at present it’s not doing me any favor. Blog monetization with this network is nil for the longest time.

Filipino Bloggers using Wordpress as a publishing tool should check out the latest details on WordCamp Philippines. According to Weblog Tools Collection website, the event was moved from October 25, 2008 to September 6, 2008. In my view, this is indeed a great event for Filipino bloggers using Wordpress because it aims to educate us more about WordPress and blogging.

A few hours ago I was analyzing my blog traffic from search engines. Web traffic analysis is my routine just to see how strong or weak is my blog’s presence in the search engines. I was shocked to find out (when I went to Yahoo’s SiteExplorer) that none of my pages are in the index of Yahoo. Yes, not a single one.

Bloggerwave has been around the corners of the blogosphere but many bloggers do not know that they can make money by joining the ads network like Bloggerwave. A blog can make money if the blogger knows how. If you have been frequenting this blog, you know that I have monetized it just like many other bloggers.
