Second Blog Revival

This doesn’t mean though that this site is dead. Not a chance. It was only on vacation. Or should I say, the author was only on a long break. :-)

Have you noticed the new Google favicon lately? I’m sure you have if you go online everyday. I think Google has done something in relation to their policies at the same time they have released their new favicon. Maybe it could have something to do with their policies regarding search engine rankings, Page Rank distribution or Adsense. Well, these are just speculations because in a business, the company will not change branding like logos, taglines and all that stuff about marketing if changes in policies are not in order. Let’s just find out as events unfold in the blogosphere. Just a personal thought though.

In the meantime, here is the new Google favicon along with the old one on top of the image.

Lately, I’ve been practicing my memory by playing memory games. I must be getting older and my memory is failing me at times. How about you, have you ever wanted to have a memory so good you can not forget anything? Yes, that’s right – anything. This is called photographic memory. Damn! Recent studies on intelligence indicate a correlation between computer gaming and  IQ.  Yahoo and Google news corroborate with this.  Although computer gaming has been found to develop locomotor skills and other brain functions, brain games specifically can improve memory and intelligence.

Advances in technology have greatly increased the tools we can choose from to assist with the improvement of reading skills. I am going to focus on computer learning software for kids. This is of particular interest to me because while the child is increasing his or her attentional capacity by playing a video game he is also fine tuning reading specific skills such as comprehension and vocabulary.

One of the benefits of an online college education is that your chances of getting a lucrative and enjoyable job will increase. I’m specifically talking about cases where a job is only available to candidates who (for example) hold a university or college degree. The average person will see an income difference of approximately $1 million dollars over their non-degree competition over the span of a lifetime.
