This may sound funny but in the past, some people have tried to pick me up. Yeah. Some have been successful though. Hahaha! Let me get down to the cause of their failure to pick me up. First, their pick up lines suck! The worst pick up line I’ve heard was “How long is your ….? Can that measure up with my needs?” Goodness! It’s one pathetic pick up line which I also found offensive.

In relation to this, some of those who wanted to pick me up were gays. Wahhhh! I don’t do gays. I only do women. I prefer women between 30-40 years of age, decent-looking and hot. I don’t flirt with gays. I don’t get my hair tangled with a fellow man. In my opinion, “Victory Hair” is something that can be attained by an authentic attraction between two heterosexual individuals which sparks something special and they end up “doing it”.

Want to know how you can get a “Victory Hair”? If yes, then check out the website of Extreme Style by VO5 to find out more. You may also grab the widget below after you’ve played the Ultimate Flirting Championship. You can copy the code provided and paste it in your sites.

Toyota Corolla GLXi is one of my top choices for a used car. Depending on the mileage of the car (or age in years based on model year, a standard in the Philippine market), Toyotas sell between Php150-250K. At the moment, I only have less than Php100K and I am saving a hell lot of money just to get my family a car in December. Yeah, that’s actually my schedule because I want to greet the new year (2009) by getting a new “toy”.

In my previous discussion about cars (family car actually), I was and still am confused whether to buy a new car or used car. In the Philippines, used cars are so many. I even know some people who are in the buy-and-sell business. However, what I really do not like about these used car agents is that they do not actually value friendship. When it comes to selling cars, they do not mind who buys, friend or not. Business is business, they say.

Have you heard of the new game by ScreenLife titled Banzai? If yes, then good for you. If not, then you’re missing a lot of fun. It’s fun playing it with your family.

In case of doubt, check their website. ScreenLife Games is at it again. They launched a new Banzai game. Check it out: the wallpaper sample is shown below.

I tried playing it with my wife and she had so much fun. It’s one game that is good for the entire family, not just you. Try it with your kids, nephews, nieces and maybe co-workers. The rules are simple. It’s like playing Tamagochi (however, this one is called Tako Gochi) where you have a pet to feed, and interact with. It’s like having an online pet that you have to handle with care that is why you have to be careful of your choices.

Menus are available (Feed, Play and Fate). It’s totally up to you to make the move. Initiate feeding if you wish then from there, see how your Tako Gochi reacts. It is truly fun and it’s actually a mental game. So get your chopsticks ready and play Banzai.

All players watch stunts from acclaimed Super Banzai Video Show, then bet on the outcome of stunt. To bet, players race to fill the betting bowl using only chopsticks. Bowls are filled with sushi. Whoever wins all the sushi, wins the game. The rest are rubbish.

By the way, the game is available for purchase online. If you want to have more fun, better get your copy of the game. If you wish to know more about Tako check out its Myspace page at www.myspace.com/takotheocto

Children are often given the highest level of priority in most (if not all) Filipino families. As such, when my eldest grandchild (Chester) had a birthday party in August 25, all of my 8 grandchildren attended the affair. I was able to take some shots but I was foolish not to check the rechargeable batteries of my digital camera. They were about to be drained when the party started and I was so disappointed upon knowing that I will not be able to take all the shots of my grandkids having fun. Read the rest of this entry »

In the Philippines, second hand cars (or used cars) are hot in the market. The best-selling cars here are Toyota models. From model years 1988 to 2005, these cars still sell well even if they have been been owned by 4 or 5 individuals already. Model years 1988-1998 are usually the ones on the streets. Pinoys really love used cars because first, it brings out the creativity in them. With used cars, Filipinos are able to modify whatever part of the car - the windshields, mirrors, tires, rims, mags, paint, car seats, air conditioning units, etc.

My two motor vehicles, an owner-type jeep and a motorbike broke down due to the rains in the past two months. Three typhoons hit our province and car owners really had the hardest times of their lives because many parts of a motor vehicle fail when soaked in water. In my case, my brakes failed and so for the past two days, I was changing brake fluids.

My grandson’s birthday will be on the 25th of August and as early as now, I am posting this to let everyone know that I will not blog the whole day on that day. Family matters. It’s true I make money online but I do not want to miss my grandson’s 7th birthday. He’s already in Grade One and I haven’t spent much time with him.

With the growing popularity of texting among children here in the Philippines, one of the areas of conern of the Department of Education (DepEd) is the decline in their spelling proficiency. Several studies show that Filipino children now are poor in spelling.
